Our service of solidarity will shine a light on those hardest hit by climate change and call on our supporters to pray for and reflect on climate justice. The focus of the event will be on communities on the front line of the climate crisis in the Amazon rainforest who play a key role in tackling the climate crisis by working as shields against deforestation and devastation. Christian Aid has been working closely with these communities to empower them to challenge unjust systems, increase access to their lands and to strive for social, climate and economic justice.
The service will include prayers and reflections from Christian Aid's Chief Executive, Amanda Khozi Mukwashi, and our Head of Nations and Church Relations, Sally Foster-Fulton. Representatives from the communities themselves will also be joining us virtually directly from the Amazon.
